So today I decided to learn something new
Actually it's two things:
I decided to learn neovim and markdown
Well actually, it's:
neovim
markdown
and linux
I use Arch by the way
So yeah, today's post you will just see me experimenting on random markdown stuff. I haven't figure out how to work my cool ascii arts into arch linux yet, so you won't see that in today's post.
I am starting a new job tomorrow, so I haven't have the time to work on TDD with python lately, just a lot of stuff going on in life.
Regardless, here are some things I learned:
Linux
Couple months ago I actually installed linux on one of my home PC for a class, it required us to use linux and bash. First I did it through a vm with my laptop and I was having so much fun I decided to install it in my PC. During the process, I accidentally (so there's no spell check on my neovim, you may see more spelling mistakes than usual English is not my first language) deleted my windows and now my PC does not have windows anymore.
I was very sad about it for the last couple months then Youtube recommended me a Linux video by Bog so I picked up linux again. I managed to get Hyprland running and got a cool config going (ML4W) and been practicing with it for the last couple days.
I am having some trouble running some of the games I play though so I still have my laptop ready for that.
Neovim
I came across neovim when I was reading Mr Harry Percival's Test Driven Development with Python and when I got to some git commits I was having some trouble typing the commit messages. Then I realized that depends on how I was commiting sometimes it throws me into a neovim(or vim, I can't tell the difference) environment and I don't know how to type through that.
So I decided to get neovim on my linux computer and I've been practicing here and there for it.
Markdown
So one of my classmate has been writing some cool readme files on git hub. I didn't ask him how he wrote them yet but during my studies I learned that github can do markdown? So I kind of jumped on that and learned that reddit kind of does markdown already so might as well learn that too.
I am quite excited to pick up random things to learn.
Why I really did all this
My algorithm (I really hope that is how you spell it) class is sooooooo hard. I really want to get good with it but with how fast the class is going plus my day job exploding I am having a hard time to keep up, and I just realized it's almost midnight and I've just spent the last two hours trying to get MarkdownPreview running on my neovim I AM JUST AVOIDING DOING MY HOME WORK!!!
That is all, I am a dummy, and I wish you all have the courage to confront what you are avoiding right now.
Thank you
P.S. Now I am having trouble directly import this markdown file to Hashnode, so I have to learn how to upload this to github and send it through there. See how much you learn by avoid doing real work(and sleep)???
